You can access the functionality via the tools menu. The functionality is simple to use so please have a look and provide us with your feedback here or on the forum

We will look to include this functionality in our weekly online training sessions, which provide you with an overview of the complete BT BizBox application. This functionality is perfect for those of you who spend the majority of your time on the road. It will aid you by providing you with the quickest route for your journey within seconds.

The future of Mobile Technology

There is an interesting article over at TechCrunch re: the future of Mobile Technology, as discussed by some of the Industry chiefs at Davos this week.

The mobile phone has already changed the consumer landscape, but with the advent of GPS technology in all new phones over the next couple of years, we will be able to see some very interesting technologies and applications. No longer will users be tethered to their desktops but will instead be free to get information from anywhere on the move.

At BizBox, we are committed to ensuring that our services take full advantage of these new developments and we will be keeping a close eye on what manufacturers and network operators alike do.  For example, only this morning we learn that Nokia has agreed to purchase Trolltech for $153m.  Trolltech is famed in the development community for its cross platform products and services - so it will be interesting to see what Nokia does with this new set of functionality.

Karen

Our launch plans

Hi,

Earlier this week I gave an update on where we are with our phase one developments and promised you all an update on our rollout plans.

This week we intend to rollout additional customer reporting which will help you understand further your customer behaviour, you will be able to identify you most valuable customers, your biggest debtors and also help you to manage your quotes and invoices

In addition we will also be looking to make available to you the route optimisation tool. As we keep saying the perfect tool for the travelling salesman :)

The rollout will involve minimal downtime, however I will let you know the time period for the rollout so you can make sure you are not using the system at that time.

If you have any questions let us know, either via the blog or via our forum

Thanks

Sarah

Update on new functionality

Hi all,

I wanted to update you all on the progress of phase one of our development roadmap. Over the last few weeks we have been talking about the functionality we have been developing, which includes;

1. An alerting system - this ensures you never miss another meeting, or your individual task deadlines.

2. A permissions system - this will set a hierarchy of read, edit and write permissions for users across your organisation’s BT BizBox account.

3. A route optimisation tool - ideal for the traveling sales teams providing them with accurate and shortness route information for their journeys.

4. Important information module - stores important information centrally and can include subscriptions & insurance renewals or may be passport information, these categories can be set by the individual.

5. Additional reports - to help you understand your customers behaviour.

6. Improved employee tasklist - with the functionality to add/edit and delete multiple tasks along with alerting functionality by email, SMS and popups.

This functionality has now all been developed and is ready for rolling out into the BT BizBox application. However, as we know usability is key for all our customers, therefore we are holding fire on rolling out the functionality this week to enhance and improve the usability as per your feedback. I will ensure I update you on our planned dates for the rollouts so you can enjoy the benefits of this new functionality.

We are also starting to work on phase two of our roadmap, I will provide you with more information on what is included in this phase along with timescales over the next couple of days.

In the meantime if you have any questions or feedback please contact us via the blog or our forum

Thanks

Sarah

The new BT BizBox alerting system

Hi,

The BT BizBox team have been busy creating the new alerting system, which will ensure you don’t miss any meetings or important task deadlines :)

The alerting system has been built based on feedback from you the customer.

The new functionality is accessible via the tools menu and is a great asset to the other existing functionality including the employee tasklist, the invoicing and quoting tool along with the BT BizBox meeting manager.

The alerting system can be set to remind you via email, SMS or popups of your meetings, tasks, quotes and invoices. The alerts can be set for different intervals 15 mins, 30 mins, 1 day, 2 days and 4 days before your deadline is due.

We are finishing the final stages of testing and I will update when we plan to roll this functionality to live.

As always we are keen to get your feedback.

Thanks

Sarah

BT BizBox Is CRM That Supports With Simplicity

Leonardo da Vinci said that “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” If that is indeed the case, the new generation of Customer Relationship Management has become quite refined.

CRM has transformed from bulky to business friendly, as the applications have become easier to implement, allowing users to build a line of business workflow that can be picked up and used almost instantly. In a nutshell, CRM is keeping things simple, which is exactly what businesses and their customers have demanded.

“The biggest single reason CRM is getting better in the new generation is because there are many competitive offerings in the market at all levels,” said Tierlinear, maker of the CRM Solution BT BizBox. “With having to understand your customer being critical to survival, all businesses large or small are now looking to CRM solutions to help them stay competitive.”

Solutions used to be one-size fits all. Buyers were stuck with bloated software that had more flash than substance and too many unusable bells and whistles that stupefied users and slowed down the workflow. But the revolution of CRM being built on platforms that are completely customizable has taken the challenge out of the game.

The Web 2.0 concept of “collaborative functionality” has streamlined CRM applications like Tierlinear’s web-based BizBox. Its CRM solution can be accessed by any company member from anywhere they have access to an Internet enabled device. Meanwhile, it’s affordable for the small business. The BizBox solution also covers a wide area of functionality, which means customers only have to invest in one CRM solution to cover all their business needs. BT BizBox is also a simple to use solution, which has been built on customer requirements. Therefore, the function it contains is actually demanded and required by customers.

“The Web 2.0 concept engages the customer in forums and discussions on all aspects of the product development to make sure that a solution is purely built to meet the needs of a customer,” said Tierlinear. “With the need for CRM solutions increasing in small businesses, the need to make sure they are suitable for them is critical. Furthermore, with the increasing number of competitor offerings in the marketplace, the easiest and quickest way to engage with your customers is via forums and blogs. As more and more small businesses move to the Internet, the more they rely on forums and online support for their applications.”

Connection with consumers online has become an absolute necessity. The retail industry uses customer reviews as a powerful marketing tool, taking its cue from a recent survey that said almost half who recalled seeing customer product reviews cited them as the primary factor in their decision to purchase.

Giving power to the people when creating a product doesn’t stop at reviews and software applications. These days, it cuts across all industries, even taking flight. In 2006, Virgin America, a new low-cost airline launched by British entrepreneur Richard Branson, operated under the mantra to “build an airline people will love.” Building from the ground up, Virgin didn’t just consult industry insiders and airline executives. They went to the people. In fact, the company message to travelers on its website reads: “In building a brand new airline from the ground up, our goal was to bring the fun back to flying. To get there, we knew we had to ask a different kind of question: How would you design an airline? ”

Apparently, the people wanted these planes wired. USB ports, two WiFi access points on board, Ethernet at every seat, along with comfy leather seats and mood lighting. Virgin measures everything by connecting online with its customers, responding to how they feel about fares to the interactive components of their Web site. The airline even had its customers name its fleet by launching their “nameourplanes.com” initiative.

Getting the customer involved in creation has been Tierlinear’s goal with BT BizBox from the outset. Further development of the product has been and will continue to be generated through various forms, including the BT BizBox User Community.

The latest planned functions being unveiled at BT BizBox are wide-ranging, and include a new form of customer reporting that will have the ability to be exported into PDF files. BT BizBox will also implement a document creation tool and British Telecom’s conference call system in its next upgrade.

“The improved reporting will help our customers to manage their customers by fully understanding their behaviour,” said Tierlinear. “Ability to email will allow BT BizBox customers to run marketing campaigns. The conference call functionality will provide more way of staying in contact with their customers and the route optimization, permissions tool and document creation will all help to increase the effectiveness of the customer, which in turn will enable them to better serve their customers.”

New functionality for the New year.

Hi All,
Today we have rolled out new the document creation tool. This is a great new tool, which allows you to generate your own customised documents and upload them to the BT BizBox application. Each automatically generated document is stored in the document storage component of BT BizBox

I have attached a couple of screen shots showing you;
1. How to access the document creation functionality from the Tools menus
2. The actual generation of a document.

Figure 1. Accessing the document creation tool

Figure 2. Generating a document

As always we seek your feedback to ensure this new functionality works for you.

Thanks
